On January 1st 2018, Rijk Zwaan Vietnam LLC will take over the sales activities from the current exclusive Vietnam Rijk Zwaan distributor. With the establishment of this new sales subsidiary, Dutch-based breeding company Rijk Zwaan expects to reach a stronger market position in the region.

Bejo and Rijk Zwaan announce licensing deal on traits in vegetables
Bejo and Rijk Zwaan have signed an agreement for the exchange of non-exclusive licenses for patented traits in vegetables. This exchange will enable the two vegetable breeding companies to strengthen their innovative capacities and introduce improved varieties more quickly.
Milestone for development of African horticulture
Vegetable breeding company Rijk Zwaan has introduced its first hybrid varieties for African eggplant. These have numerous advantages over varieties that are traditionally grown in Africa and will enable farmers to generate a better income for themselves. Rijk Zwaan spent almost 10 years working on the development of these varieties and is now selling the first seeds on a commercial basis.
