Felda Fall Open Field Days Deliver Quality and Maturity
Our recent Felda Fall Open Field Days welcomed dealers and growers to our research farm in Felda, FL, for an event focused on showcasing crop performance and program depth. This season’s trials highlighted exceptional quality and maturity across multiple crops, supported by a strong RZ team.
The hot pepper program was a major highlight—fruit displayed generated excitement and revealed a deeper program than many realized. With commercial varieties like Bolon RZ and Habib RZ available for sale, attendees saw firsthand the strength of our program.
Breeding Expertise and Crop Highlights
Our Rijk Zwaan pepper breeding team joined event to review the program and introduce new sweet bell pepper varieties, which drew strong interest. Customer feedback was positive, not only for peppers but also for other crops. Yellow straightneck squash, Glowray RZ, continues to impress, the cabbages looked excellent, and standout lettuce varieties such as Rodman RZ (romaine) and Neurita RZ (Crunchy) captured attention. Timing was ideal for radishes, eggplant, and other crops, reinforcing the overall theme: a good trial in both quality and maturity.
Commitment to Innovation
Felda’s challenging growing conditions make it the perfect location to demonstrate performance and adaptability. These trials confirm our commitment to delivering varieties that meet market needs today and into the future.
