Rijk Zwaan LSL Melon Debuts in the USA

The Caribbean Gold RZ is a LSL Harper type melon that is superior in quality and shelf life to a Western Shipper type.

While Caribbean Gold RZ has experience great success in Central America, this is the fi rst year that we have had the opportunity to grow Caribbean Gold RZ commercially in the USA. Caribbean Gold RZ has strong vines with excellent leaf coverage.

A strong and concentrated fruit set, medium size, oval in shape,
good netting, orange fl esh color with an overall attractive appearance. An average of 14 Brix and a 6/7 PSI making it suitable for the Processor and Carton Rijk Zwaan also has exciting new lines in selections of this type of LSL Harper Melon bred especially for US conditions.
